Pacific Northwest DeMolay Leadership Conference – August 8 through August 14, 2010

What’s in it for
me at DLC?
|
|

|
Just the best
summer of your life…
|

|
|
|
|
…And a lifetime
of friends!
|
|
What is DLC?
DLC is a weeklong experience for DeMolay
members to learn more about DeMolay and themselves
Who should go to DLC?
Members from all over the country attend
the Pacific Northwest DLC but most come from the Pacific Northwest and Canada. DLC is particularly recommended for councilors or members who want to become chapter leaders. But, DLC is appropriate
for any member.
|
What happens at DLC?
DLC is FUN! During your week at DLC you
have lots to chose from. You will learn and practice meeting and activity
planning, participate in sports activities, share your DeMolay experiences
with others, join a ritual team, help publish the newsletter, go swimming,
edit a video, and meet and learn from and with DeMolays you never knew before.
How much is DLC?
Pacific Northwest DLC 2010 is $325.
Your check should accompany your registration.

|
|
What will I Like Most?
Your best answer to this question may
come from a member of your chapter who has attended DLC in the past. For
some guys, it’s the friendships, for some, it’s the insights into themselves
and others, for others, they most enjoy what they learn about DeMolay and how
to be a better leader. Count on it. There’s something in it for YOU at the
Pacific Northwest DeMolay Leadership Conference!
|
So, how do I sign up?
Mail a Registration form with the
approval of your Chapter Advisor. Registration forms are available from the
DeMolay office, or from the DLC website: www.pnwdlc.org Or, register
on-line at the website. The website also has a copy of the participant
information packet with directions, what to bring, and other helpful
information about the camp.
Can I get some help with
the cost?
Many jurisdictions have scholarship
programs for DLC that may cover part of the cost. Check with your Dad
Advisor or Executive Officer about availability of scholarships, and many
sponsoring bodies, such as the Lodge, Shrine Club or Scottish Rite that
sponsors your Chapter will offer assistance for DLC. Check with your Dad
Advisor about this assistance. It’s worth the effort!
|
|
What about the facility?
Pacific Northwest DeMolay Leadership
Conference is located at Camp Sheppard, near Enumclaw, Washington. The camp
is a beautiful forest site with modern amenities and facilities including
sports fields, staffed kitchen, and full accommodations.
What about transportation?
Camp Sheppard, the site for DLC, is one-and-a-half
hours south of Seattle, Washington near Enumclaw. Participants are expected
to provide their own transportation to and from the site. However, if you
are flying or bussing into Seattle, transportation will be provided from the
bus depot or from Seattle/Tacoma International Airport . If flying in, be
sure to allow at least two hours for luggage pickup and transportation to and
from the camp when scheduling your flights!
